Dr. Mike McClellan (’86) and Dr. Leslie McClellan (’95) both graduated from Life University. In addition, both doctors also hold a bachelor’s degree, Dr. Mike from Penn State University in Business Administration and Dr. Leslie from Slippery Rock University in Health & Physical Education.
Both Drs. McClellan has taken numerous post-graduate courses of study. They specialize in Spinal Biomechanics, diagnosing and correcting the cause of your condition. They also have special training in auto and sport-related injuries, non-surgical low back and disc techniques involving state-of-the-art decompression traction equipment, and pediatric chiropractic.
Dr. Mike and Leslie were married in June 1996. Dr. Leslie joined Mike’s 10-year practice in October 1996. The doctors have two extremely healthy children, a son Austin, born February 1998, and a daughter Elizabeth Grace, born December 2000. Both children were born drug-free and at home. The doctors are also very active in our community with civic organizations, local schools, and the church. Drs. McClellan serves God by serving you, they love practicing together and are committed to quality health care for the entire family.

I love seeing my patients get out of pain, but more importantly I love helping my patients reach their wellness goals. I have a wonderful , beautiful, supportive wife at home that has blessed me with two beautiful daughters. We all enjoy staying active, being outside, and playing games. I play the guitar . I’m very good at trivia because I’m full of useless knowledge and I also collect Alabama national championship cokes that I am quickly running out of room for.
My name is Dr. Dan McClellan, and I have been practicing chiropractic for 32 years and counting. Since 1992, I have operated a solo practice in Anniston, Alabama, and I also have the pleasure of practicing alongside my brother and sister-in-law. Over the years, I have primarily focused on family care, treating patients ranging from 1 to 101 years old. Additionally, I have had the privilege of working with athletes at all levels, from high school to collegiate and professional sports. Throughout my career, my greatest passion has been witnessing the profound impact chiropractic care can have, not only on an individual’s health but also on entire families. To this day, I remain deeply passionate about chiropractic and enjoy sharing its benefits with others.
Hello! My name is Dr. Clayton Koon. I was born and raised in Douglas County, GA where
I fell in love with chiropractic. Growing up I watched my mother suffer from breast cancer
treatment, and I am blessed to still have her today. I believe my passion for chiropractic is linked
to her experience. Chiropractors work with the ‘subtle substance of the soul’. This is the nervous
system, which animates every cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies. If the spine is properly
aligned, the body has the ability to function and heal on a superior level. I will not take this
privilege for granted!
I started my journey in 2018 at Life University. As a dual enrolled student I earned my
Bachelor’s of Science degree in 2021, and my Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2023. During
this time I practiced in Marietta, GA at the Life University Outpatient Clinic. I also served in
Kennesaw, GA where we saw hundreds of dedicated patients with different complaints. We
were able to identify each cause through x-ray analysis. It’s amazing to see how the power of
the chiropractic adjustment changes lives for the better!
My parents and older sister have always been very supportive. During chiropractic
school I met my girlfriend of two years, Dr. Alexis Love. During our free time we love being
outdoors and going to Atlanta Braves games. I believe God has a purpose for us all and I am
excited to see what God has in store for us every day!
I especially love working with the staff to educate our team on serving the best patients in Alabama! I am here to answer any questions that the patients, Doctors, or staff may have. If I don’t know the answer I will find it for you. I am married and my husband and I have 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. We love restoring old furniture, home improvement projects, and anything that involves our grandchildren. My fun fact is that Dr. Mike hired me at the age of 19. I won’t say how old I am, but just know it was before the internet was invented!
My name is Haley, and I am the Assistant Office Manager at McClellan Family Chiropractic. I have had the privilege of being part of the team since 2017. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, going to the beach, as well as taking advantage of the outdoors, especially when the weather is nice. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such an exceptional team, and I look forward to continually learning and growing in this dynamic environment.
My name is Brandi Lachance, and I am a Patient Tech at McClellan Family Chiropractic. In my role, I guide patients through consultations, x-rays, and exams. I take great pride in being part of the progress our patients make within our programs and witnessing the relief they experience as they leave our office. Outside of work, I enjoy working on my purple jeep, ‘Sassie Sallie,’ and spending time in the great outdoors. I also cherish quality time with family and friends, especially when it involves Mexican food.
My name is Kayla, and I have been a member of the McClellan Family Chiropractic team since 2017, currently serving as the Front Desk Coordinator. I reside in Ashville with my two daughters, Lana and Hazel. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role is witnessing the transformation of a patient arriving in pain and leaving feeling significantly better or pain-free.
My name is Lexie West, and I am a Physician Assistant. I have had the privilege of working with this team since 2023. The most rewarding aspect of my role is helping patients achieve an improved quality of life. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and with my family.
My name is Baleigh, and I am a Physician Assistant with experience in therapy, DTS, and RPW. My passion for my work lies in building meaningful connections with patients and witnessing their progress, particularly the relief they experience through chiropractic care. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, I enjoy cooking and playing basketball in my free time. Working at McClellan Chiropractic has been an incredibly rewarding experience, as it has allowed me to collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals who genuinely care for one another and share a common commitment to bettering health through chiropractic care.
I serve as the Front Desk Assistant at McClellan Chiropractic. One of the aspects I find most rewarding in chiropractic care is observing the positive impact adjustments have on infants and seeing how it enhances their quality of life. In my free time, I work as a hairstylist and content creator. Additionally, I am the Choir Director at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Attalla, where our choir travels throughout Alabama, performing at various churches. Feel free to say hey the next time you come into our office!

A loving mother of two daughters, she cherishes spending quality time with her family. Outside of work, Brandy finds joy in the simple pleasures of life and has a particular affinity for the classic song “Free Bird.”
With a passion for literature, Brandy is an avid reader, with mystery novels being her preferred genre. She appreciates the thrill and suspense that comes with solving a captivating mystery.

Hello, my name is Velinda Garay Farris. Originally from Mexico, I bring an international perspective to the office. I am fluent in Spanish and English, with some proficiency in Portuguese. I became a U.S. citizen 16 years ago.
One of the reasons I truly enjoy being a part of the McClellan Family Chiropractic team is that I have personally experienced the benefits of chiropractic care, particularly in addressing my back issues. As a Therapist DTS, I am deeply passionate about witnessing the positive impact chiropractic care has on individuals, including newborns.
In my personal time, I enjoy taking my dog, Rico, for walks. Interestingly, despite my Mexican roots, my culinary preference leans toward Southern cooking rather than traditional Mexican food.
